HARDWARE MANAGEMENT
Hardware management programs are divided into these key areas:
· PC Hardware & Architecture: Fundamentals of hardware components, including motherboards, CPU sockets, RAM types, and bus standards (PCI, USB).
· Operating Systems & Software Tools: Installation and configuration of OS (Windows), file system management, memory management, and use of diagnostic tools.
· Storage Devices: Managing hard drives (RAM, ROM, SATA, SSD), formatting, partitioning, and troubleshooting data recovery.
· Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identifying and repairing faults in monitors, keyboards, printers, and power supplies (SMPS/UPS).
· System Software & Security: BIOS/CMOS configuration, POST (Power-On Self-Test), and protection against viruses/malware.
Practical Training & Lab Work
Hands-on skills often account for nearly half of the total course duration:
· Assembling/Disassembling: Building a PC from scratch and upgrading individual components like RAM or HDD.
· Diagnostic Experiments: Using mustimeters for circuit testing and soldering techniques for electronic components.
